A brand new, stunning Gelson’s Supermarket is coming to the junction of Gardner Street and Sunset Boulevard. This has been made possible because of a $12.9 million loan from Buchanan Street Partners to Cadence Capital Investments. The amount has been loaned for the purpose of buying five buildings on Sunset Boulevard. According to VP Mark Reese of Buchanan Street Partners, finding space for a 38,000 sq ft floor plate to accommodate a store as big as Gelson’s is getting quite tough in Hollywood. Luckily they found enough space at the corner of Gardner and Sunset. The spot has been pre-leased by the supermarket. It will certainly help to reduce the distance for customers who live in the area since existing stores are situated toward West Hollywood. The new Hollywood Gelson’s is expected to open in quarter one of 2018.
