The new mixed-use space at 11800 W. Santa Monica Boulevard is slated to house a five-story complex containing 147 studios and one and two-bedroom condos above 40,000 sq ft of ground level business space. Furthermore, an array of proposed luxuries include a grand swimming pool, a wellness center, a screening room and a clubhouse.
Brainchild of the Lorcan O’Herlihy Architects, the building will set up a special vicinity along a generally staid stretch of Santa Monica Boulevard.
As per state law, 11800 was granted a density bonus incentive in return for offering inexpensive lodging units.
The building is taking over the previous site of Buerge Ford, a Los Angeles car dealership possessed by the now defunct Buerge Car Company.
