Things to do in April: Bring the kids…
Celebrate Easter on April 1st at Grand Hope Park’s Easter Fest. Kids will love the 2pm-5pm event’s activities including multiple Easter egg hunts (with over 15,000 eggs), bounce houses, face painting, games, arts & crafts, food, and more. Tickets are $25 per family (up to 7 people), and a portion of the proceeds goes to helping ministries in Skid Row.
Things to do in April: Do something different…
In case you don’t see enough selfies on your Instagram feed, there is now an entire museum dedicated to the phenomenon. The Museum of Selfies runs April 1st– May 31st and takes you through the roots of selfies, some of which date back to ancient times. Tickets start at $25.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy a movie while lounging on a rooftop. Choose to visit either the Hollywood or Downtown locations starting April 4th. Rooftop Cinema Club provides wireless headphones, comfy deckchairs, and food & wine are available for purchase. Upcoming screenings include Raiders of The Lost Ark, It, The Godfather, Means Girls, and many more new and classic flicks. Tickets start at $17.
Get design ideas for your home, office, hotel, restaurant and more April 5th-7th at Dwell on Design. The largest design fair on the west coast will have over 50 exhibitors showing off today’s hottest design elements including Brillant Home Technology, Hasegawa USA Inc., and Swingtables. Tickets start at $40.
Experience a new way to run a 10k when Nike closes down part of the freeway on April 22nd to host their Go LA 10k. Runners start from Culver City and their journey continues through 5 kilometers of the 90 freeway before having them head back east. Entry fees start at $50, and proceeds benefit Students Run LA, Marathon Kids, and Girls Play LA.
Things to do in April: Listen to tunes…
If you missed out on Coachella tickets, but still want to party in Palm Springs this is the place for you. Day Club Palm Springs will take place the same weekends as Coachella (4/13-4/15 and 4/20-4/22). However, instead of a three-day festival, you get to enjoy a three-day pool party. Acts for the Hilton Palm Springs event include Odesza, AC Slater, Deorro, and more. Tickets start at $30.
Get in touch with your punk rock side April 28th-29th at Huntington State Beach’s Back to the Beach Festival. Features include food, games, craft beer, cocktails, and performances by 311, Sublime with Rome, Less Than Jake, and many other acts. Tickets start at $49.50.
