Apex Estate Group Guide: Things to do in July
Our curated events and to-do’s for the month of July
Things to do in July: Celebrate the 4th…
Knock back some cold brewskis and celebrate what it means to be an American at Angel City Brewery on July 3rd. The 1pm-9pm 21 and over event includes backyard BBQ, food trucks, frozen desserts, lawn games, live music, and, of course, a wide range of Angel City’s in house brewed beers. Also, put on your finest American flag attire for a chance to win cool prizes.
If you want to celebrate the 4th for free, check out Grand Park’s 4th of July Block Party. The downtown event is great for families. You can bring your own picnic or get food from one of the many food truck vendors. There will also be plenty of great bands, activities for kids, and an amazing fireworks show to complete the night.
If you want to take your 4th of July partying to the next level, try Studio City’s 4th of July Fireworks Festival. This year’s luau themed event takes place at CBS Studio Center. Picnics can be brought in or you can purchase food and alcohol at the event. General admission tickets start at $25. If you want to go the VIP route, you will get a gourmet dinner in an air conditioned soundstage, beer, wine, valet parking, and an amazing rooftop view of the fireworks spectacular for $125 a ticket.
Things to do in July: Get cultured…
Taste the best of what LA has to offer at the July 8-10 food fest. Over 100 LA food and drink vendors, including BOA Steakhouse, The Grilled Cheese Truck, and Wanderlust Creamery, will be on site to serve up their amazing, delicious treats. There are three levels of tickets. $15 gets you a general admission ticket to the event. $69 gets you unlimited tastings two hours prior to the start of the food fest. $95- $125 gets you a chef hosted brunch, lunch, or dinner in the Rose Garden Pop-Up Restaurant.
Enjoy being outside and learn something too at the first Summer Night in The Garden of 2016. The July 8th kick-off event at LA’s Natural History Museum is free with an advanced reservation and includes a coffee roasting lesson, botanical gardens tour, and live animal presentation.
Things to do in July: Dress up…
Throw on your best vintage inspired look for Dapper Day at the LACMA. Dapper Day is a throwback to 1950’s style and class. The July 22nd LACMA event celebrates the museum’s Reigning Men: Fashion in Menswear exhibition. $25 gets you into the museum, and the Dapper Day group will picnic on the lawn and enjoy dancing and musical performances.
Tropical attire and leis will be out in full force at the 12th annual Tiki Night presented by American Cinematheque. The July 30th event kicks off at 4pm with a Hawaiian BBQ. There will also be rum cocktails, Polynesian dancers, and a viewing of the film South Pacific. Tickets are $18 for adults.
