Our curated events and to-do’s for the month of September
Things to do in September: Bring the whole family…
The LA County fair kicks off September 4th at the Fairplex in Pomona. There’s sure to be something for everyone at the month-long fair. Kids and teens will enjoy the rides, carnival games, and Battle of The Bands contest. For adults there’s plenty of delicious food along with wine, beer, and spirit tastings and classes. There will also be multiple musical performers including Train, The Beach Boys, and Patti LaBelle. Tickets start at $8 for kids and $12 for adults.
Have a great time this Labor Day weekend at Hermosa Beach’s Fiesta Hermosa. The event is the largest arts and crafts festival in Southern California. Over 300 vendors show off their pieces during the three-day free fiesta. Kids can enjoy a petting zoo, face painters, and a rock-climbing wall. There is a charity beer and wine garden for adults and 18 types of ethnic food to choose from. Plus the event takes places right near the beach, so there is also plenty of time to work on your final summer tan.
September 26th’s Tarfest is an afternoon event for the whole family at the La Brea Tar Pits. Tarfest showcases emerging artists, performers, and innovators. At this free event there will be live music and painting, beer and wine, and gourmet food trucks.
