Apex Estate Group Guide: Things to do in September
Our curated events and to-do’s for the month of September
Things to do in September: Eat and drink well…
Try some of the best dishes, cocktails, and wines that LA has to offer at The Taste. The LA Times event takes place at Paramount Studios from September 1st-3rd and includes cooking demos, wine seminars, and, of course, lots of food tastings from restaurants all around the LA region. Tickets start at $95.
Golden Road Brewery hosts Made In LA Fest September 2nd-3rd. Not only will there be plenty of beer and food, there will also be performances by Yacht, Hanni El Khatib, and Warren G. $30 gets you a weekend pass and two beers. Plus you’ll be drinking for a good cause because all ticket proceeds go to charity.
Even though we're celebrating all things LA this weekend, Houston is in our hearts. We will be selling $20 single day tickets at the door for #MadeinLaAfest. All single day proceeds will be donated to Houston Habitat for Humanity for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. Visit the link in our profile for more info.
Who makes the best burger in LA? Well on September 24th you can help decide at Time Out Los Angeles’ very first Battle of the Burger. Contenders include burgers from The Oinkster, Slater’s 50/50, Beacon Echo Park, and more. You’ll want to get a taste of each one, so you can feel confident placing your vote for your top pick. Tickets start at $30 and include a burger tasting from each restaurant, a Guinness, a side dish, and hot sauce. Plus there will be music, games, and giveaways.
Things to do in September: Get cultured…
Rock out, while going green, at the Sunstock Solar Festival. The non-profit, solar powered event focuses on strengthening the sustainability movement in LA. Last year’s inaugural event resulted in a $10,000 donation of solar power to Kids Cancer Connection. Performers at the Downtown Los Angeles event include Run River North, Robert DeLong, and Ra Ra Riot. Tickets begin at $25.
#tbt This years Sunstock is shaping up to be just as chill as last year!! Sometimes you just need to find a nice spot to take it all in. The free Glendale Open Arts & Music Fest is a great event for the whole family. There will be art installations, musical performances, activities for kids, and more at the September 16th 2pm-10pm Downtown Glendale event.
